WIDE OPEN FIELDS there was a time when i'd follow take everything for granted what they'd say and even if my thoughts were hollow they were like Wide open fields fed up with their lies i rolled the dice to make the dream a living but i'd just think twice on those wide open fields and i would spread the seed but i couldn't harvest what i needed when chance came i took the train and i rode it mile for mile and i'd surley stake my claim on the wide open fields soon the city got out of sight and many joined me for a ride but their faces turned to white on the wide open fields and i would spread the seed but all i'd reap was weed had some money in my pocket had a drink or maybe two had a time out on the island for there was nothing else to to and i could put up a fight i had a lover every night but maybe i was untrue... on those wide open fields and i would spread the seed when i realised that i'd started to bleed standing at your doorstep on a bright and sunny day i'm gonna ask you for forgiveness for there is nothing else to say a villain or a hero it all has become a point of view maybe we could start anew on those wide open fields and we would spread the seed we're gonna harvest what we need
